Polycom Senior Vice President of Global Channels, Ron Myers, Again Recognized as One of UBM Tech Channel's CRN 2013 Channel Chiefs
SAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Polycom,
Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), the global leader in open, standards-based
unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), today announced that
Ron Myers has been named one of UBM Tech Channel's CRN 2013 Channel
Chiefs. This prestigious list of the most influential and powerful
leaders in the IT channel recognizes those executives directly
responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their
organization, while evangelizing and defending the importance of the
channel throughout the IT Industry.
Myers was recognized for consistently driving new initiatives to help
partners create competitive differentiation. His commitment to the
channel community has resulted in additional sales training and learning
resources to help them drive business results. Myers was named aChannel
Chief in both 2010
and 2012,
while Polycom's (News - Alert) Choice Partner Program, re-launched under his
leadership, has been awarded a5-Star
Partnerrating based on partner feedback three years in a row
(2010-2012). Myers manages Polycom's worldwide go-to-market channel
partners who are part of the Polycom
Partner Network, a global ecosystem of partners who embrace and
extend Polycom's open, standards-based video collaboration solutions.
Polycom's channel sales organization is continuously refining benefits
and offerings to ensure partners are rewarded for their investment in
market differentiation efforts, skill development, and training.
"It's an honor to be recognized for the strong channel program we have
at Polycom," said Myers. "This is a recognition of the entire Polycom
team, which includes our channel partners who are critical to our
growing success. The UC&C market presents a tremendous revenue
opportunity for the channel, and Poycom is committed to making it as
easy as possible for our partners to understand the intricacies
associated with their customers' business needs to take advantage of
this growing market."
Myers is responsible for program and policy development, partner models,
go-to-market strategies, and other initiatives to support Polycom's
channel partners. Myers oversaw the creation of the "TEAM Polycom Comes
to You" global roadshow that extends the training, product introductions
and demonstrations, and strategy to over 900 additional partners who
could not attend TEAM Polycom, Polycom's annual sales and partner event.
During Myers' tenure, he has been the architect of new specializations
and certification offerings as part of the Polycom Preferred and Polycom
Choice programs and has enhanced Polycom's lead generation and rewards
program. Polycom has also invested in global e-learning infrastructure
so that partners can consistently improve their skills while minimizing
time away from the office. Additionally, under Myer's leadership,
Polycom consolidated its partner ecosystem - including technology
providers, ISVs, solution advisors, integrators, service providers, and
other companies - into the Polycom Partner Network.
For over ten years, Channel Chiefs were selected by the CRN editorial
team based on channel experience, program innovations, channel-driven
revenue, and public support for the importance of IT Channel Sales.
"The 2013 Channel Chiefs list recognizes vendor executives dedicated to
driving channel programs in the IT marketplace," said Kelley Damore,
Senior Vice President, Editorial Director, CRN. "We congratulate this
year's Channel Chiefs for their stellar record of business innovation
and applaud them for their continued dedication to the partner
community."
Selected by CRN's editorial staff, the 2013 Channel Chiefs list is
